Being a full vertical discharge cowl our Bullet Cowl is designed for maximum flow and least resistance to increase draw and improve the operation of your fire. Meaning it will run more efficient and burn cleaner.
These are designed in a way that rain will have trouble getting into the flue because of the tapered cone at the top.
However in high wind zones or heavy rain you may experience some water ingress. This will not damage your fire in the slightest.
We offer a optional Butterfly insert that will deflect any water away from the flue opening if you do experience water making its way in or just want that peace of mind.
